A Session in Australia

The first thing I wanted to do after travelling for an entire day, was suck on some ice cold tasty beers. That's what I was craving after such a long journey. Getting from the airport to our apartment was the next step. My brother Dom and I caught a taxi whilst my parents and grandma got a lift with Dom's girlfriend Nina. Dom and Nina had been wonderful in sourcing a lovely apartment for us in Surry Hills, Sydney. An amazing location, Harmony Park to the front and a cute little doggie park at the rear. Better still, Dom had stocked the fridge with beer and bubbly.

In an ideal world I would have walked into the apartment, opened one of the beers and sat down to chill out. That was not the case, I had a few things I needed to unpack first, then I could chill out with some beer. It didn't take long and soon Dom, my dad and myself were sucking on some bottles of beer.

My first drop of beer in Australia (this time round) was a Kiwi beer. Moa 'Session Pale Ale' from New Zealand. With a recent love of Kiwi hops, and it being under 5% it made a perfect start to what will hopefully be a holiday filled with plenty of booze, beers in particular. After the last drop of the Moa Pale vanished down our throats, we opened up another. Gage Roads 'Narrow Neck' Session Ale. Another session ale but with less hop character but still a tasty little beer. Bring on the rest of the holiday!
